Velile was born on the Wild Coast in the village of Libode outside Port St Johns. He went to Boarder Technikon in 1995 after matric he decided to study Travel and Tourism. In 1998 he took a course on Tourist Guiding and became the first Registered Black Tourist Guide in the Buffalo City area.
There is no better guide that Velile when it comes to getting to the local communities of East London.
