Show Detailed Itinerary

There’s no shortage of things to see and do in the Mother City. With that in mind the 7 night/ 6 day Classic Cape Town programme features all the best sights and sounds of the city. From classic sightseeing to uniquely South African experiences, Coffeebeans has just the right thing for you.

Day 1: Table Mountain and Robben Island

This is a full day outing from approximately 8am to 6pm. It is an invaluable opportunity to visit two spaces with cultural and historical significance. Highlights include going up to the top of Table Mountain by cable car, 360 view of the breathtaking scenery from the top of the mountain and going on a tour of Robben Island.

The mountain will help you physically map the city and provides lovely insight to Cape Town. Robben Island, famous for being the prison where Nelson Mandela was held is the second part of the tour. Here you will gain a better sense of the country’s history and the sacrifices made for its liberation. This is also a time to remember one of the world’s greatest icons.

Day 2: City and Kasi futures

The tour begins in the city centre before moving out into the surrounding areas and its townships. The original, historic Cape Town city centre is very small, and is often seen as being the city in its entirety. The tour aims to show you that there is more than to the city than town.

Highlights include visiting new city developments, the Camissa (“Place of Sweet Waters”), a trip to the District Six Museum, The Slave Lodge, going passed the Bo-Kaap, local food and meeting some of the incredible people shaping the future of the city and its townships.

Day 3: Escape to Cape Town’s Seascapes

On the Peninsula Route, the tour follows the perimeter of the Table Mountain range, going full circle around the mountain, passing incredible seascapes, and taking in some of the most magical sights imaginable. The Peninsula also boasts a varied plant and animal life as well as enviable biodiversity. The tour also makes a stop where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet.

Highlights include a visit to Cape Point (Cape of Good Hope), Chapman’s Peak (if it isn’t closed for road works) and some of the most picturesque sights as the tour takes you from one place to the next.

Day 4: A taste for the finer wine in life

There are close to 500 wine estates in the Cape, most of them within an hour from Cape Town city centre. This full day wine tour focuses on a selection of Coffeebeans’ favourite estates in Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, the three key winemaking regions, and some of the most picturesque areas of the Cape. You will taste a wide selection of some of the delicious the Cape has to offer.

Day 5: Free day

You will have the day to yourself to explore on your own or to just take it easy.

Day 6: Soul food and music for the soul

The day is free for you to spend as you wish. At 7pm you will join Coffeebeans' famous Cape Town Jazz Safari.

Highlights include the opportunity to meet local jazz musicians in their homes, dining on local cuisine in the homes of the musicians and discovering the Mother City through her music.

On this special music journey you get to travel deep into the history jazz music in the city. The experience is intimate and deep, but most of all - fun. It is a unique opportunity to meet local musicians away from club stages. The hosts on this tour include musicians young and old, all of them composers and performers.
