Peterson is an entrepreneur who is based in Refilwe. Peterson’s vision is to cultivate entrepreneurial skills amongst the youth within Refilwe and believes that this can be achieved through building the tourism industry within Refilwe.
Peterson’s story began in 2002 as a tour guide for a Cullinan based Tourism Company. It was there that he discovered how Cullinan and its surrounding communities were founded it was these learnings that made him very passionate about his community (Refilwe) and which prompted him to establish Fundani Tours in 2009. Through Fundani Tours Peterson introduces tourists to his friendly mining community and does this in a way that enables tourists to interact with locals.
Through Fundani Tours Peterson continues to mentor students and local entrepreneurs within the tourism industry. For these reasons he has become a role model and an outstanding servant for his community.
