Provincial tour guide
Mawande Kondlo, was born and raised in the township. He is the founder of Wandu’s tours, a collection of experiences through which he will share intimate knowledge of township life.
Mawande Kondlo is a charismatic tour guide with an incredible entrepreneurial spirit who has developed a successful tourism venture through sheer hard work and dedication. After completing a course at the Livingstone Tourism Academy, he became the first accredited black tour guide in the Garden Route. The tourism world was his oyster and he grabbed all the opportunities he could with both hands. He is enthusiastic about showing visitors the traditional aspects of township life, but more so he is eager to show the positive progress taking place here, and how small business owners that manage to make a living through ingenious entrepreneurship.
He is excited about showcasing the development taking place within parts of the township and takes visitors to modern clinics and libraries. Living in the township has given him an intimate knowledge of Khayalethu.
