Asanda was born in a small town in Kwazulu Natal and then moved to Johannesburg’s Alexandra township, where she has lived since early childhood. It was during her high school years that her passion for History, Arts and Travel originated.
Post high school she received a learnership to study Hospitality Management at the International Hotel School (I.H.S). It was there that her curiosity's about the world and learning about different cultures spawned. She wanted to travel, meet people from different cultural backgrounds and learn their languages. She also wanted people to experience her culture and let them find out, first hand, what makes her community unique.
With this in mind she chose to combine her passion for her community and the arts, with skills she acquired from I.H.S and become a tour guide within Alexandra.
