DAY 1: Dive right in

At 09:00 you will depart on arrival from Upington and head for the Kalahari Red Dune Route. You will arrive at your first destination, the Kalahari Guest House at 10:00, where you will have breakfast, tea and coffee, as you take in the views from the dam. After your leisurely breakfast you will leave for Askham at 11:30. Lunch will be served on arrival at Diamond T Coffee Shop at 12:30. At 14:30 you will depart for Witdraai Bush Camp, the perfect location for you to catch a glimpse of the wonder and beauty of the region. You will have the afternoon to get settled and enjoy the tranquility of the camp surroundings. There is also the option of a bird watching experience during this free-time. Dinner will be served at 19:00.

DAY 2: No rest for the Adventurous

Hopefully you had your eight-hours – you’ll need it! You will leave for Molopo Lodge early at 07:00. Breakfast will be served at the lodge at 08:00 after which you will depart for Rooiduine Guest Farm at 09:00. In no time at all, you will arrive at the guest farm and get straight into some dune boarding. You will have worked up quite an appetite when lunch is served at 12:30 at Kgalagadi Lodge. This will be a relaxed lunch. At 14:00 you’ll go on an unforgettable afternoon game drive in Kgalagadi Park, where you will watch the wildlife from close range. At 17:00 you will depart for the Kalahari Nature Reserve and Meerkat Sanctuary. Once you’ve checked in, you will have a bit of time to relax and freshen up before dinner is served at 19:00. At 21:00 you will go on a 2 hour night time game drive before wrapping up an exciting second day.

DAY 3: A cultural journey

Breakfast is served at 08:00 before the sanctuary’s staff guide your interaction with the Meerkats. At 10:30 you will set off for Boesman Rus. At Erin Game Farm you will leave for a game drive within 30 minutes of your arrival. Lunch will follow at 13:00 at Aunt Koera se Kombuis. The next stop on your day excursion is a visit to the area’s famed Living Museum. At 17:00 it’s time to take things easy with some Sundowers and idle talk around a fire. Dinner will be a braai at the Boesman Rus Grass huts at 19:00, before calling it a day.

DAY 4: Wild at Heart

Breakfast will be served at 08:00 and you’ll leave straight afterwards at 09:00. You’ll depart for Loch Maree Guest Farm where you’ll have a wild-life experience like no other. The 5 hour game drive will expose you to the breathtaking natural beauty of the Northern Cape and give you sightings of the area’s enigmatic wild-life. Lunch will be provided on the saltpans during the excursion. At 15:00 you will drive to Inkbospan Guest Farm. You’ll check-in at 15:30 and have some downtime. At 17:00 you’ll set out on a game drive on the farm, and sip on some Sundowners on the dunes. At 19:00 you’ll enjoy a braai at Inkbos Pan.

DAY 5: Homeward bound

The last full day gets underway at 08:00. You will depart for Diamond T Coffee Shop in order to arrive for breakfast at 09:00. These will be the last savoury moments before you head back to Upington.
